Default 3.4l help

hey guys i was wondering if you could possibly help me with this problem ive been having for a while now. my cars been missing alot recently sometimes its really bad other times its just a little hic up. yesterday i put new plugs and wires on and the problem is still there. Another thing is, i know for a fact i have a bad o2 sensor and my idle is around 1800 rpm at start up then i have to use the clutch to bring the rpms down to 1000 where it will stay there until i shut the car off then have to do it again. But right now i was wondering if the o2 sensor would cause the car to be missing? any imput is greatly appreciated thank you.

yes the cel is on and i tried to have advance auto pull the codes but they said their scanner cant read obd 1.5. but the good news is i did go ahead and replace the 02 sensors and they were a burgundy red color and they weren't the same. so now it runs great but now my only problem is slow throttle response.

Lag in throttle response could be anything from a fuel pump to a fuel pressure regulator to a bad coil or wire. Really it could be anything. Throttle positioning sensor... etc.

If you have been driving the car like this for awhile there is a good chance you Cat is starting to plug up.
