Socom your v6 was badass kind of what I was looking for I got a 5 speed like chaotic and I know manuals are hard to come by thats why I want it I guess ill just restore it and keep it for one of my kids as I got a ton of time to do it I think in the next 18 years a fully restored camaro will be worth somethin

I wasn't trying to be harsh, I was trying to make sure your expectations are in check. There is still a lot of enjoyment to be had in a 3.4 Camaro, I'm just trying to say that your time and money would be better-spent on something besides trying to add power. If you wanna get your hands dirty and do some upgrades to your car, I'd say do some visual and suspension mods. That way you'll have a car that you're proud to show off and is uniquely yours and is fun to toss at corners.

Remember you’re the one that said you where tired of the pony boys. If you want to shut them up it is not going to be in a 3.4. Even if you could add a bunch of power to a 20 year old car with 150k on that you depend on, it would be a mistake. The candle that burns twice as bright burns half as long. With 150K on the car your candle is pretty short to start with.

No one can predict the future value of a car but there is NOTHING I mean NOTHING in history to make me think for even a second that a high miles 6 cylinder is going to be worth much at any point. Look at what a 1982 (32 years old) V6 is worth. Last time I saw one in good condition (what I call good condition many call mint) go through the auction it sold for $1200 (inspected and ready for the road) and I will bet it has a V8 in it now. The late 80’s V6’s are worth more parted out then as a whole. Heck even an original first gen 6er has a 50-50 shot of being used for parts or converted to a V8. I am not just picking on the 3.4 this is just as true for the 3800.

you can buy an ls1 car around here for 3-4k, sell the v6 now and just go buy a fast car, you'll be miles ahead
