Default 3.4 removal

My dad and I are just about ready to try and pull the 3.4 out of my 95. Do you have to remove the intake plenum off the top to get the thing out? Also, and this part is far less likely, will we be able to pull the motor and tranny (4 spd auto) at the same time? (Please refrain from laughing if the second part is as ridiculous as it sounds)

you can pull the tranny and motor at the same time, but it will take a bit longer and you will need to have the car jacked up pretty high for clearance. You do need to remove the intake manifold to do so also.

thanks, it's good to know. We already have it jacked up pretty high, so that's not an issue. I wanted to brush and clean the manifold anyway, so I guess having to remove it isn't all bad
