well its hard enough to swap a 350 into a 305 car witha manual, so id imagine it would be rediculously hard to do a 3.1 to a 350. you would have to change all the mounts, the computer, and probably the trans, as wellas the driveshaft

Yes that is a 3.1 in your camaro. I don't remeber the exact year, but I believe it was 1990 when they switched the camaro from a 2.8 to the 3.1 for more power. Actually its the same motor, *60 degree V6, just bored out etc. Well I think I have some good news for you actually. I have been told that it is a T-5 Transmission in your car. Do you know what that means? Its the same damn tranny that is in the 305/350 camaros. At least I believe it didn't change because I know the 88's had that transmission. Well anyways it should be the same! So, that means, change your engine mounts to the V8, slap on a carb, rip out all your EFI junk, upgrade your suspension in the front (not 100% needed, but definately recommended) and your set! Have fun with your beast, and I expect to see pictures!

EDIT;
SEE THIS THREAD https://camaroforums.com/m_252/tm.htm
A guy said his transmission had a different pattern. I would suggest looking what kind of transmission you have just to be sure......

Whats so hard with putting a 350 into your car? Its a sbc, and yours is a sbc... Just need to switch to a carb set up and get rid of your fuel injection... Maybe a few extras like running your 305 accessories, but I don't see the big deal? Just some fuel lines and a carb. Unless there is something I don't know about these cars.. No difference with an automatic or a manual... I guess it all depends on your backround ..

Actually, background has nothing to do with it. Last summers project was to put a 350 into an 86 TA witha 5 speed. The problem was the Borg Warner tranny needed a million extra parts to make it work. everything from the crankshaft to the clutchplates was different. might have only been a problem with this particular swap, but in general i would say it was pretty difficult, especially with all the mixmatched parts from 4th gens to make the clutch and pressure plate bolt up.
