I have an 02 Camaro 5 spd. with 26k miles. It did not come with factory cruise control. I have heard contradictory reports of all Camaros coming with the cruise control module from some repair shops and Chevrolet says they don't. I can't find any answers at all. What does a guy have to do put cruise onone of these?

I have the same question. I figured I would probably end up using an aftermarket kit like this one http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku

I also thought about figuring out how you could hook it up to the factory control stalk, I've got the switch and button on my turn signal stalk for whatever reason, but the engine compartment equipment is not there that I could see.

 

These cars, just like every other car on the road now, are drive by wire.
That cruise kit won't work.

What I'm trying to find out is if someone has put cruise on their DBW Camaro and what they had to do.
The dealers I've talked to want to sell me the module for upwards of $800.
