Default 2002 3.8 five speed

Hey all, new to the forum. I have a 2002 Camaro (new to me) and it is hard to get in reverse sometimes. Sometimes it will go in no problem but other times it wants to grind. I'd like to know if this is the normal (or what it could be) for this 5 speed or if I should to take it back under warranty. Thanks for any help.

I've got the '96, five speed, and it's the same way. If you try to throw it in reverse immediately after pushing the clutch in, it'll grind. If you wait 3-5 seconds, it'll go in smoothly. I don't know if that's normal or not (my tranny has other problems, too), but mine's been that way since I got it.
