Default 2.8 upgrades

First off, i drive an 87 camaro with a 2.8 v6. its got 107,000 miles. I bought it for $950.00. It is called the bruise because the body is blue, the hood and fenders are black, and the bumper is purple. It needs some serious power boosts, I hate to say it, but it got beat by a Colbalt, and not the SS either. What would you suggest for a person with limited income and novice knowledge?

straight exhaust, air filter, and remove all unwanted vacum lines. Plus for a big gain get rid of the egr valve. The egr valve is a valve that lets exhaust gases back into the engine. Exhaust Gas Rentre. You should be able to get all of this done for under $100/150. Or go the pro route and go to engine-parts.com they have everything for that 2.8 even stroker kits.

Well it depends if you have one really, I thnk you should. Now inorder to remove the egr valve all you need to do is take it off then block off the lines. Also you need to block off the valve opening. I find that it works best if you can get someone to weld a metal object into the holes. And it only effects your emmisions if you say something
