1996 Evap system/fuel pressure leak
Ok, so... my 1996 firebird 3800 v6 is being a pain now...
A good month ago I bought the car, 2 weeks after buying it the check engine light comes on and tells me that I have a fuel pressure leak at the engine.
2 days later my fuel pump goes taking the relay with it. So I fixed it.
2 weeks after replacing the fuel pump, the check engine light comes back on with the same code telling me that I have a fuel pressure leak at engine.
I doubt its in the lines since it does not whistle or anything... also, the exhaust smells horrible, like the evap system isn't working.
I don't want to take it to a shop for money's sake...
anyone know where this stuff is located? any thoughts or idea's?

I had a similiar problem and it turned out to be a combination of the following...
1) two of the lines going to the purge canister were disconnected
2) the hoses going to the EVAP switch under the hood were reversed (this alone will definitely trip an EVAP code)
3) the rubber lines that run from the purge canister to the EVAP switch were rotted out, so the gasoline vapors were escaping
Might be work checking these before you drop the tank. best of luck

I just got it back from the shop when the fuel pump went a little while ago. engine threw the same code right before the pump went...
