Like the title says I have a 1995 Camaro that I bought for a few parts. I was told that it didn't run due to a bad timing chain. My question is how do I tell if it's a bad timing chain or not without pulling the motor apart? It wants to fire up but just sputters and then keeps cranking.

 

only way to know for sure is pull the front cover off and look at the timing marks on the cam and crank sprockets.
