hi all i was looking through some car mags laitly and saw an add for a 4L80E tranny made by TCI transmissions. the kit comes with trans cooler,trans, paddle shift adapter, wiring etc. i was mainly wondering if anyone has tried to swap a 60e for an 80e. and if such a swap would require a new drive shaft or not. thanks for any input. also this was a 6speed auto and programmable shift points for the auto and manual paddle shift.

 

there is one guy on here that did a while back. try a seach yet? yah the 4l80 is a nice trany with close ratio. have one in my 1ton and its tough.

 

sweet thanks for the info craby... im pretty stoaked about it being a paddle shift so no more floor shifter lol.
