Hi, its been a while since I've posted here...but now I have a problem and I can't figure out what it could be. (T-5 transmission) When I start off in 1st gear, the shifter lifts up and feels like the whole transmission is lifting up. It does the same in 2nd and a little bit in 3rd. Not in 4th or 5th though. Also, sometimes while shifting from 1st to 2nd, there is a slight hesitatiaon and it sometimes knocks real hard. I was thinking maybe the tranny mounts but was wondering if anyone had had this problem with the shifter raising up into the car before. Thanks for any help.

Your rubber trans mount is split apart, get a new one. The reason it lifts is because the torque tube from the rearend is attached to the tail of the trans. That lifting torque is also what eventually splits the stock rubber mounts apart. You could go with an aftermarket one like from Energy Suspension. But if you do, you may feel some extra vibrations inside the car.
