SOLVED - Help with bleeding clutch! Stuck pedal!
So I'm at work and decided to drill a hole in my transmission tunnel on my car to access the slave bleeder. I wanted to bleed as I replaced the clutch last year but have had a soft pedal ever since and sometimes it sticks to the floor after hard shifting. I bled it with a mity vac set up the first time so this time I decided to do it from the slave bleeder screw.
All went well and I managed to get some air out. The pedal was sticking to the floor during bleeding so I kept having to pull it back out. Now the pedal is stuck to the floor, I can pull it back out but it has no resistance when I push it to the floor anymore so I can't continue to bleed and now I'm stuck at work trying to figure out whats going on. Yes the reservoir is full. Yes I was pushing down the pedal, cracking the bleeder, closing it and releasing the pedal. On my last crack of the bleeder a bunch of fluid squirted out and can't get any pressure on the clutch pedal to continue. Hopefully someone can help me! :s UPDATE: I'M AN IDIOT! I was watching the reservoir on the master cylinder meanwhile the clutch reservoir went bone dry. This would explain the sticking clutch pedal HAH! I re-bled after figuring out that i am an idiot and all is perfect now. LOL! |
I think maybe I'll let the thread hang around for a little bit, just in case somebody else has the same brain fart. :icon_mrgreen:
