My 4l60e recently lost 3rd and 4th gear.. i have been looking at some other transmissions but i'm not sure what year transmission will work in my car. I'm guessing not any 4l60e will just bolt right up and work... Just wondering what years, etc will fit in my car. i have a 95 camaro z28 with the lt1..

any info would be appreciated..

what i need to know is if I find a 96 firebird with a 4l60e trans, will the wiring and everything fit in my 95 camaro? or, do i have to find another 95 camaro/firebird with a v8 and a 4l60e trans to put in mine?

 

Use this site as a guide. Anything that they list is a direct boltin there may be other trans out there that will fit by changing a plug or something. I think the 96 is an OBD2 system while the 95 is OBD1.5. I would imagine it is not a direct connet up replacment.
