Weld-In SFRs ROCK!
Just got my UMI 3-pt. chrome molly weld-in Subframe Connectors installed on my RS, and they ROCK! A lot of people say that they notice very little, and it IS subtle, but the car feels MUCH better put together now, like one unit and less flexy/flimsy. You can also notice it over rough road and such.
Hope that helps others who are considering them! SFRs are going on my 'vert any day now...

Ive been considering getting a set but I wasnt sure if I should go 3point or 2point. I wonder if you can feel a big difference between the two. Also wondered if you would have probs getting to the exhaust, transmission etc with the 3points. I havent seen the 3 points installed. Can you post a pic?

The UMI 3-pt does not interfere with anything, the 3rd point mounts to the screws on the bracket for the cross-brace. They tuck under nice and tight. It feels like a different car with them on.

Good color combination, good maintenance, the whole thing looks so clean. Impressive!

Well, I finally also got the UMI 2 pt. chrome molly SFCs welded to my 'vert, and the difference is instantly recognizable when cornering, turns, over rough road, and to some degree when accelerating.
I have to agree with the following statement:
"This is the first thing that should be done on uni-body vehicles, even if you do not plan to increase the performance of the engine, is the installation of subframe connectors! If you want your car to remain rattle free and you want to get the most out of other chassis and engine mods, you have to connect the front and rear frame sections with something stronger than sheet metal. Sub-frame connectors are an absolute requirement for all types of driving. "
