I have the bilsteins w eihbach springs. Lowered the car one inch, rides great. Handles great. No issues w speed bumps. Much better than stock de carbons. They come on the standard FE3 suspension package w is the base package. The bilsteins w good springs will run $8-900 and I feel is the best for not big money. W a set of summer z rated tires, the car handles phenomenal.

 

I like what I am hearing! Finally pulled the trigger and got the Strano Peformance 1.2" lowering springs and the SLP Bilstein shocks from Strano! Pretty excited to put these bad boys on as my stock DeCarbons have 147k on them now. Needless to say, a truck rides better than my car currently does...

I do have one question though, do you guys think I should buy new strut mounts? I just have the factory ones on there still and don't really know if there are any issues with them, but just not sure if its something I need to do or not. Any help would be great, thanks!

 

wont know what shape there in until you get it apart. your gona be very happy with the results. hollow sway bar set next. another wow i dont believe it addition.

i am seeing moog as the brand to use on the shock mounts. need to chase the threads before install. sway bar set is stranos.

 

Go OEM on the shock mounts -- why? Place the OEM one next to the Moog one -- and you will see the OEM one is beefier, and this is why I did NOT go w/Moog's…

Agreed on Strano's sways, but just do NOT over-tighten the poly bushings, tighten just enough to eliminate play!

 

Do you guys know if anyone on here has a "how-to" for replacing the shocks and springs? Preferably with pictures? It sounds like the rear ones shouldn't be too bad, but the front ones sound like a PITA and this is my first attempt...
