Ran over a dead deer, suspension noises??
I'll try to keep this short. About 2 or 3 weeks ago I was unable to avoid a dead deer in the road (truck on one side, guard rail on the other) so I had to straddle it. I knew I was gunna mes up the car but It was either that, or hit another vehicle. I ran over it at 65 mph and without being too graphic, my undercarriage looked like a meat factory. No physical body damage, thank goodness!! So besides the horrible smell, and burning deer on my exhaust, I drove the remaining 45 miles on the interstate back home. Car still drove straight, no steering vibration either. I thought I lucked out and just had to clean the car up.
The past few days I have noticed that the right front suspension makes some sort of "knocking" sound whenever the suspension extends. It doesnt do it when I go over a bump, only when there is a recess in the road and the shock extends. Any idea what it could be?
I moved away for college and all my tools are back home so I can't really get in there the check everything out.
