Bumpstops?

Bumpstops?
96 SS. 159k on the odo. Doing a basic resto-driver here. Rebuilt motor, instaled new bilsteins today and discovered the rear bumpstops are gone. Causing some bottoming out hitting exhaust etc. So what have others used here? Oem, any poly options ??

if its just the bump stops you want to replace id go for the cheapest, unless your springs ans shocks are shot ( but you replaced them) then you will likely never bottom out so good old rubber ones will do

absolutely replace your bumpstops, and replacing the springs probably aren't a bad idea either. at 159k the springs have probably worn out so gradually, that you didn't even notice the slow and dramatic deterioration in the rlde quality, but if you put new springs in you will definitely notice the improvement

Kewl, thanks for the replies. I'm pretty happy with the ride now and it actually hasn't bottomed out since replacing the shocks other day. I can't seem to find any cheaper than the $119 a pair ones (I have 17" SS wheels). Any other options?
It is a little dead in the middle but not bad. My column is probably shot as someone used it to push themselves up and now it will push down to the lower left about an inch or so by hand! Probably not a good thing huh? lol

The spacer on the ones above for 119 are to stop the car bottoming out early if you have big wheels, mine are 18" and dont bottom (much) so i think just the stops will be fine
also, what are you asking about your column??

Wow, I'm all over the energy susp. ones, thanks for the lead! I gather I won't be bottoming out much with the ss 17's and moderate driving. Did you space them or just grind off the lip?
Lol, the column. I've never seen a car that has so much play in the column. Sitting in the sear you can push it down alot toward the lower left where your left knee would be. I'll hit that subject in another thread here as I get into the interior( dash replacement and such).

id just trim the lip, not spae them. my car is low, and has 18 and if i put the spacers on it would just ride on the stops. With the new shocks you should be fine anyway, just check they dont touch ya rim on the inside
