Default T-Tops

Has anybody had a non T-Tops cut to be made into a T-Tops?
I had a '95 Firebird some years back and inquired about it at a local place I was then. They said the glass tops would have be ordered (or possibly found at a salvage place); they also said the structural integrity of the car would lessen and then the possibility that they would be leaky in the rain.

it it be worth checking on getting my current car (2002 Camaro) cut to be T-Tops in y'alls opinion?

Your better of posting question in the general section. You get a lot more traffic there. This section is for you posting details about your projects. I know there are step by step how to's on the web. One of our members is doing it to his car and is showing details in his build thread. You should also try our search.

yea I saw some of the threads of people doing....but I guess mainly my main question was, is it worth the cost/time to do it (and I know that will be different for everybody)...just want people's opnion on if they think it's worth it or not.

Nope. Its a lot of work for an option thats on pretty much every other fbody I have seen. I. If you sell the car as well, you best let possible buyers that YOU did the t-top conversion and you would take a hit in that regard as people generally don't like it when you take a sawzall to the roof.

I'm with FD. I personally don't like them, nor the 'verts, which sucks cause all the M6 cars I find have t-tops and I want hardtop M6. Anyways, sure they're nice on a hot day, but my windows down does more than enough for me. But if you do it yourself, it'll hurt your resale value because the seller doesn't know whether you did a better job than a stock one or one that is gonna cause lots of problems. If you want t-tops, I'd think about selling what you have and finding one of the same with them all ready on.

Which is exactly why I personally would not tell a buyer I did the conversion. I'm not a schlock, and if I do something, it's going to be the right way. No sense for me to needlessly put a shadow of a doubt in someone else's mind. I'm not about to tackle a project if I can't make it "right" for myself, let alone someone else.
