I Think you have cool build going. Dont let any one discourage you from what you want to do. Its your car and you should build it the way that makes you happy. Do you have high goals yep but you have to have something to reach for and im sure if you want it bad enough you will get there. Besides the bigger the challenge the sweeter the victory lol.

i always think its neat when people build up v6s so ill be looking forward to reading your thread in the future.

by the way my friends turbo sti gets 24-25 mpg on the highway (55-65mph) with a 400whp setup thats better then what he was getting stock

Good Luck on your build. I plan to buy an LT1 Camaro later this year. Gotta sell this Ford first.

Exactly what pacesetter headers did you put on it? and where can you find them online?

This is exactly what I have. 95-02 Chevy Camaro 3.8L V6 PaceSetter Header Headers | eBay

That nice glossy paint flakes off immediately when they get heated up though. It even says on them it's not a protective coating or something like that. I would sand it right away and spray with high temp exhaust paint. And I've blown 2 sets of those paper gaskets out in about a year and a half. Having headers makes changing the spark plugs much easier. You might be able to find them cheaper, that was just the first ebay ad I grabbed to show.

This was done a few weeks ago, but I was very impressed.

Her insides still looks brand new. Thank you Mobile 1 Clean (now called Super) 5000. That's about 15K of hard miles on the engine. While leaking and not running right. Just proves what regular maintenance and actually running your car hard every once and awhile, not driving like a pansy little grandma, will do.

I agree. You have to blow out the cob webs once in awhile. Racing tuners is a great way!

So I started a new job this week...and so far I've gotten comments about how good Sof sounds and asked if she's a V8...hahahaha.

Going to send my tune back to get reprogrammed. Then MAYBE I can throw that thing in and keep it in this time.
