I pulled the column a part and I am not happy. It looks like the bore for the pivot pin is just worn out. I guess it will be off to the yard to find another one. My luck 93 is a one year only column.
According to Car-parts.com any manual trans column will work till 98.

Rims are ADR, I do not think they are available anymore. They came with the car.

I thought this project was dead when I found a black 2000 z28 with 45k on it. Rim, tires , hood, rear spoiler and seats where striped off. I was going to sell off the rest for parts. My son in law said he wanted it.
I broke my own rules buying this car, I like buying all original cars. I will not break that rule again. Even when I was just switching out the above parts there were bolts missing and not tight everywhere. I warned my son in law that this was never going to be a ultra dependable car. It will be a good learning experience for him.

I agree with that ,its realy time an money ,like my 95 though I been on a few 100, mile trips ,I feel like until I get my fuel pump moved or put a different one. an get that exhaust up higher ,its just not a long trip car, though I don't take that many long trips anymore ,can only do one thing at a time I do feel like I can get there with the 95 ,I kind wish I had been mech ,theres no one who will do It the way you would,i hear people are keeping there used cars longer there more reliable an the cost of a new one ,the average is 12 years for keeping a car now

Back on this just for fun. Son in law does not want to work on it so I will keep it. I order the parts to fix the remaining steering issues. Unbalanced engineering for the win. I ordered this over sized pivot pins to fix the tilt wheel play and their rag joint eliminator to fix the play in the wheel.

New unbalanced parts. The rag joint replacement came is black anodized. The oversized pins are still in the plastic. Maybe if I have a good weekend I will be driving it around the block.
Parts showed up in three business day, and they refunded me 5$ I assume because of combined shipping.
