lol, he may have been reefering to the racing stripes on the tars. Are the green stripes in a wear area, or will those stay there? Or maybe those are there to monitor how hard you corner!

Not sure why they are there, I never bought Pirelli tire before and I got them from the tirerack.com so I never saw them before they showed up. I would guess they are wear indicator do they know if the tire was run on the road. I expect them to go away quickly

I am thinking about blacking out the rims. I saw a black Vet the other day that had blacked out rims with a single red line around the rim and red calipers and it look bad a##.

Nice wheels. Have fun working on your car this weekend. Wish I had any kind of lift, I get to crawl around under the car on the driveway today.

stupid rain. lol, yep the stripes on the tires, haven't seen them before so i figured it had to give more power. i would leave the wheels for now and let some time pass and see how you feel. i like a black car with some bling at the wheels. might try blacking the inside of the rim, can't keep that part clean anyways.

Pure black wheels don't float my boat, but "black chrome" looks slick as hell...

Thanks for that post, that is another option. I think the rim original called black chrome. The factory black smoke has faded but still there in spots.

This is the first time I have seen the rims on the car with the engine installed. Does it look lowered? I have not done a real shake down run due to alignment but it sure starts easy and runs smooth.

Heater core is all sorted out, When I pressure tested the system I found a leak at water pump end of the heater hose. No Idea how I missed that on the other pressure tests. I still need to put the glove box back in but my back is killing me. Heater core is not complicated job it just everything is tuff to get too. Once you get the glove box out it is only 4 bolts and 2 hose clamps. Plan on those 4 bolts and 2 hose clamps taking about 2 hours.
