just some minor upgrades. new 3-4 shift fork bronze pads carbon fiber synchros billet keys maybe a few other things. i would lik to do the viper main shaft but its lik 500 bucks and i dont hav $1000 to throw into the trans. its rated for lik 650hp stock so im hopin a few minor upgrades will help it hold 700-750hp i dont think itll make more then 750 so that should help it out.

Hey man, I just caught up on your thread here. I built a 383 stroker in an 88 firebird. Car was parked for about 10 months cause i kept changing things. I feel your pain on waiting around. It SUCKS!!! I cant wait to hear how everything turns out when you finally get to drive it though. Those 220 trickflows will definitely get the job done for you

thanks man should be done hopefully this time next month. but i do hav news from the machine shop. while i was workin my dad got the axles for me and put down a deposit on the motor and told him wat he felt about the 8 weeks on the motor. and they told him that it'd be 2-3 more weeks!!! i cant believe 2-3 weeks has turned to 10-11 weeks. buy then i should hav all the parts though. the axles are home so the rear can go together suspension can go in motor comes out. i placed a order with nitrous outlet for all the parts i need (not priority but i needed the hotwire kit for the fuel pump so i ordered all at once) i work 5-3 tomorrow then im goin to get somethin done sont know what yet.

blk93 as you probably learned it sucks waitin on other ppl. and the 500hp na is our goal but the more the merrier. how was the 383 in your 88?

I was kinda lucky, me and a friend did all the work. The motor had recently been rebuilt but wasn't running right when i got it. It started with just a TBI to carb swap and went to pulling the motor and tranny lol. Block was already 030 over and had a 400 crank already so we just tore it down, cleaned everything and went back with new seals and stuff. Used ported S/R Torquer heads which were nothing special but did help. Used all MSD ignition parts which made a big difference. It was the biggest pain in the butt. I had most of the parts i needed for the motor on another one I bought in a truck. Alot of the tme it took me was working on it after working all day and I spent ALOT of time taking out the computer and all the wiring and sensors that weren't needed. I only had $3600 in the whole thing!
