You can take that out as well. There is a notch you have to make though to keep heat. I'll find the thread. Also, because you're removing A/C, your defroster won't work quite as well as it should. I haven't noticed too big of a difference with mine though. Here it is:

Been slackin on build updates but I've still been working on the swap. The body is done, just have to finish building the motor up. I just have too many hobbies to work on, here's a toy I just picked up the other night for the fun of it.

Lol. Trust me I'm waiting to really take it out after I get the Windows tinted. I work out of town and have a v8 Dakota on 33s so this ricer will make a fun ride to and from work to save on gas!

I had a Dak too, 05 quad cab 4x4 with the 4.7. You on DF by chance? Good 3rd gen Dakota section on there. Here's my Dak. Superchips, efan, hipotek throttlebody, CAI, Magnaflow...it was a beast. I had a 2" leveling kit and 32's on it. Bunch of other mods as well. I miss it every day.

I'm on the Dakota-durango forum. You had a superchip?? I don't wanna spend the money to re-gear it for the 33s and I tow alot along with playing in the sand dunes. Those things really help with power for the 4.7??

Unbelievable difference in power and shifting with the superchips tuner. Best bang for the buck besides gears, imo.
