Well guys I won't be buying a TA til March when I turn 21. My insurance would be $300 a month if I bought it now. If I wait til I'm 21, it will be $150 a month for full coverage and right now I'm paying $100 for liability. Not too bad I suppose. So the search is on hold. I will have one tho. Might take awhile but I'll get one! Lol
your insurance should drop at 21 and again at 25.. unless you have alot of points or tickets against your licenses..

Free under warranty clutchs are nice but if you keep putting china made clutchs in there you will always have problems. When I researched to find clutchs I found post after post of people who used these China made clutch and they only lasted 6 months. I was amazed at how many brands there are of basicly the same clutch, even the AC delco one was produced on the same line as the rest,,, FYI a failing clutch is VERY hard on a manual transmission shift rods and syncs.
My center force DF clutch has 3 year and 60K on it and when I let it out it is as smooth as glass, not even a hint of chatter. Best $400 I put in the car.

Just so you know there is a good chance the next one will do the same exact thing. If you drive your car hard these clutchs are sliping right from day one. There is a small lose in HP at first very tuff to feel but all the lose is converted to heat. These clutchs are not anywhere near as good as the factory one, now add in the fact you have a posi and your tweaking the motor to get some extra out of it and you have a really bad situation. How many cheap clutch and remanufatured transmission can you put in for the price on one good clutch? You are replacing the flywheel?

Having the flywheel turned. I'm only putting this clutch in until January. I'll have money then to upgrade to a nicer clutch. Hopefully a CenterForce Dual Friction.
Question about that clutch. Why do they call it a "dual friction"?? I've always known its an awesome clutch from what I've heard on LS1Tech. Does it have two disks? Or??

Dual Friction stands for the friction pads. Most street clutchs are organic and most race clutchs are composite. On the DF they are half organic half composite every other pad pad is a small composite pad. Stock feel with 90 pecent increase in strength.

Camaro is back on the road with a new clutch and a good transmission.
New news! I bought a front bumper. It was in bad condition so I did some sanding, filling, and threw some primer on it. It's ready for paint and what not. And yes it's automotive primer sprayed with a gun, for those who were wondering.
