Chaotic's Progress Thread

Well my new tweeters came in the mail on Saturday. They sound awesome on the a-pillars. On the other end of the spectrum, I have to pull the tranny out of the car again today...
Long story short: I went to push the clutch in while coming to a stop like normal and I felt a pop and the clutch went to the floor. I stalled the car because the clutch wouldn't disengage. Lovely. I looked under the car and my slave cylinder was laying on the ground. Even more lovely. Turns out, the bell housing broke where the slave bolts to. I sold a bell housing to a member on here who had the same issue with his. Luckily I had one more spare bell housing in the garage for a 3.4 5-speed haha. Had to buy a new slave cylinder because it broke when it hit the ground and spit out all the hydraulic fluid. I should have it fixed by tomorrow. Ill post pics of the broken bell housing when I get it out of the car

You might want to stock up on spare bellhousings, they're getting harder to come by.
Btw, are you running a heavier duty pressure plate than stock? If so, it's possible the not too durable stock mount isn't up to the task. Might want to look into gusseting the mount to prevent another break.

You'd have to have braces tig welded from the mount back to the body of the bellhousing. That mount gets pushed against every time you use the clutch. Age and fatigue = snap!
