stupid security light is on all the time now. i thought i had solomon tune it out. thanks socom and they are pretty even, pic makes it look like there not.

 

sounds like a connection issue mabey a ground wire

 

had a lifter ticking so got her tore down and am replacing all of them. sent injectors in, they was very sad and not reusable, got new ones coming and will be flow tested before sent out. also changing plugs an 02 sensors (they was so black), engine oil, trans fluid and filter. trying to clean her up for summer.

 

the lt1 didnt like the lifters or injectors i got so am trying different brand. had to take the intake off right away and have noticed the new permatex #82180 ultra black advanced formula gasket maker is some great stuff. i had a heck of a time getting the stuff to let loose of the intake/block. and then it was a real pain to get it off the block and intake. i think i coulda left it without bolts and it woulda stayed sealed. i recomend it for the end seals on lt1 intakes for sure.

 

got the trick flow injectors in and they work great so far. had the all plastic ones in her and she didnt like em.

 

cannot figure out what this is, changed lifter, adjusted rockers, when I unhook injector is gets better but does not stop. it did before so changed injector,

 

whatever it was, it stopped. took heads off this old block and it is goin to the machine shop this week to get stroked out to a 383, splay the 2 bolt mains to 4 bolt, add bigger cam, once I get the engine out I will have the le2 heads rebuilt maybe go to le3. 60k miles she is starting to get tired and lose like an old,,, well never mind... lol.

 

That should be fun!
