Nice to see an eager build on a V6. Great job so far! I'll be looking forward to updates.

Quick update tonight.
I would like to thank MartineZ28 for his writeup for halo headlights mod. I thought it looked awesome and went ahead and did it :)
Unlike Martine, I spilced/T'd the wires into the factory harness, so the halos come on when the parking lights are on (stock switch), and the headlights turn on with the stock switch

Great in-depth pictures keep them coming and that halo headlight conversion is BADASSS along with the picture of the supercharged v6 did you ask the guy how much horsepower it was puttin out?

Cool, what brand headlight housings did you go with?

Did you get some HIDs to go with them? http://ddmtuning.com/Product-Categor...hting/HID-Kits seems like one of the best bets out there, which I went with.

I bought the housings from pep boys for $45, it doesnt appear that I can change the bulbs though. I went from HID's to these (see pic below, old pic)

Exactly which lights did you use? Can you post a link to the ones you bought. I really want to do this conversion to my car. I want the LED's to come on with an aftermarket switch and the HID's to come on with the factory switch. Also want to do the brights (LED's to turn on with the same switch as the low beams, and HID's to turn on with the factory brights switch). How would I wire this? Also, will the brights actually be brighter than the low beams? Is it a different light?

I can't find them on Pep boys website, but if you go into pep boys you will see them. They are $45 and have a blue halo. I think the lightbulb in the light is 5000k HID. I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to do with the lights, but it seems complicated. You won't need to wire the halos to come on when the high beams are on because they should be spliced into the parking lights.

Chaotic94 07-08-2010 07:10 PM

Yea I know. I want the regular part of the light to work as if they are my factory lights (Low beams and high beams)... And I want the blue ring to work on a aftermarket switch.

Socom 07-09-2010 01:54 AM

Oh ok that would be easy to do. The headlights have their own + and - separate from the halos + and -. So you would just splice the headlights into the factory harness and then run wires from the halos to the switch.
