2001 z28 swap to carburatored dart little m block
Why would you want to go that route vs LS power?
From what I've heard there's a lot of headaches involved swapping a gen 1 style small block into an LS car.
Most people go the other route swapping an LS in place of a gen 1 in older cars and with good reason.
What is your plan for the car, street or track? both?
With LS motors so available and cheap I don't get why you wouldn't rather go that route, especially in a car already set up for one.
If your LS1 is toast and you want more power find a 6.0 litre truck motor and build on that would be my advise.

You just need a new trans and to rewire the whole car, Not just the engine the whole car. AC, power window, radio, every gage. Once you pull the PCM the body control module will not work, that runs everything in the car. basically you will be starting with a shell.
