1998 V6 to v8 carb swap

Default 1998 V6 to v8 carb swap

Well I did a 99 3800 a few years back turned it into a 608 hp beast now im hoing back to the gear head roots im takeing a 98 v6 out and dropping a 350 carbed motor in I know allot of people will say im crazy but this car will be my time machine new and old comming together as one I will be posting pics and updateing progress along the way if anyone has any tips I would be glad to hear them good bad or inbetween I pick up my 350 this weekend going to do a little work to it before I put it in so hit me with some tips if you have them

I'd be more interested in how you managed 600 hp out of the 3800 and kept it alive.

There are several project threads that go into detail about the swap. The are so many different ways to approach the swap there is no good guide out there. You should check with your local inspection mechanic to find out what needs to work and what does not. The 98 has a body control module so you will need to rewire most of the car.
