Default Window Tint Teperatures & Darkness

OK, I have a white 98 with NO tint at all. Being in the Florida sun it gets super ridiculously hot inside my car. When i first got her, My dad wouldn't let me tint it.. blah blah
But I'm older now and He Doesn't care anymore.

So my questions are:
How much cooler will the tint keep your interior?
(I was thinking 30% Because 28% is darkest legal here.)
Anyone have any input?

PS. I now have a small crack in my dash and I'm betting its from this unrelenting sun.
To me, That back window is like a huge solar panel because of it's flat angle.

Thank You,
Blasko

This is just a shot in the dark, but my guess if you're going with 30% in FL, it might be anywhere from 20-30% cooler inside. I read online that tinting can make it up to 60% cooler, but it all depends on the percentage of the tint and how big/how many windows there are. I'm not sure there's any specific numbers. It might suggest on the back of the tinting boxes, I don't remember though. My brother lives in FL and all his windows are practically black, he's never had any problems as far as I know of from having such dark windows. I bought a 20% tint kit but haven't had the time to install them yet because of time and crappy weather.

So I've decided 100% on getting tint soon.
I went out to my car today and my National Guard water bottle thing was literally melted into a different shape from the heat. Not even in direct sunlight. I'll upload pictures when I find my USB cord. Before I get the tint, I'll record temperatures and make a chart for differences for anyone else who would be curious. I'll keep you all updated

@Darling,
Your brother is lucky. My friends get stopped all the time. My buddy's XB has 2% and he gets stopped like everyday. While my other friend has factory tint on his Jeep somewhere ≈45% and he's been stopped like 6 times and they're just like "Oh Ok". Sheriffs Office here wants money badly down here in South Florida.

Well, My tint was put on hold.
I know that they make you keep your windows up for 3 days afterwards, and My A/C is toast right now, so after I find the leak, I'll get it and pictures

And I'll post temperature differences.
