Default well my new 150mph gauge cluster came in

my car has 137,000 and this one has 174,000 on it, is there any way to just spin it backwards or do I have to tear apart the cluster and swap the odometer, it would seem easier just to spin it backwards to the mileage

I've seen them moved forward all the way back around with a drill, but you still have to take it apart to do that.

I have read that if you try to spin manual odometers back, white lines appear between the numbers to show tampering. In many states, if the vehicle is over 10 years old, they won't record the mileage on the title, even if you ask. I asked for the mileage to be printed on the title for my '97 Z, but it came back exempt due to age. I would just keep the old cluster in case you sell the car.

Spinning it backwards will show tampering. You may be able to switch them out, but I'm not a 100 percent sure.

nice I got the odometer swapped, it fixed my charging and 3 trouble lights, all because he filled all the lights with LED's they were so bright they bled over to my trouble lights..

looks much nicer and I didn't crack the dash
