Default Sounds from the Underground

I just got a 97 Z28! Yes I have grown up! I am putting so much sound equipment I wonder how it will affect the speed in the car. Two small tweeters in the dash, two 8" subs in the kick panel, two 6x9s in the doors and in the rear, three 12" subs in the trunk. I know that i won't be that fast with all of this weight but will I am still hoping to beat half the cars on the road. Will I? Give me your thoughts.

Congrats on the car! wish i had a z28! But dont put 8" subs in your kickpanels! especially if your gonna have 3 12's in the back! that will be enough bass for most people especially most bass heads! as long as you get a good set Here are some internet brands to look at www.stereointegrity.com , they're subwoofers are top of the line!, www.reaudio.com <<< fantastic car audio company! www.soundsplinter.com They make very good subwoofers their RL-p is comparable to the JL audio W7 in sound quality and can get louder too! I'm getting ready to own 2 15" Rl-p's myself! thats just to name a few....

As far as weighing down your car goes it should not affect you too bad...

bottom line dont mix subwoofers (EX: 3 12" and 2 8"), looks trashy and does not sound very good at all IMO because of cancellation issues with different frequencies in the bass. get a nice set of 6.5's to replace the existing door speakers. some nice midbass for the middle of ur car, and you can do the 6x9's in the back.

doing something like that will save you a little weight and sound a lot better most likely! just get good equipment!

thats my .02

Dosnt the 97 have a nice monsoon system in it? I would just add the tweaters and the 3 12" in the back. Good luck
