Default seat material in my '95; real leather?

'95 Z28 with leather seats, I think...

Did my car come with real leather? These are sure in good shape for a car that old with 180k miles...

If not real leather, perhaps thay were re-covered in leatherette of some type?
Did GM use fake leather in F-bodies?
tks

Your factory seats are leather, but not 100%. The "seating" portion (the part your body touches) is leather, the sides and back are vinyl.

Thanks, folks.

Mine seem shiny and of all the same material; I bet they were recovered. If so, they did a nice job...

It's likely that a 180k car had some reupholstered seats. I have 83k on my Z28 Convertible, took very good care of the leather, and it still cracked all to hell once I left the humidity of FL for the arid area of Los Angeles. Kind of sucks...I now have to replace those damn front seats. I'll likely do it in "pleather" and save about $500-700 in the process.

What's really funny? Seeing those pleather kits that run anywhere between $500-1100 on ebay. Those dudes are waaaaaaaaay overpriced!
