This is so weird, im thinking its the window motor. The first time it happened to me i rolled the window completely down and when i went to roll it up , it started going then stopped all of a sudden then i noticed as i kept driving every 10 min or so i would try again and it would inch up again. Recently i havn't let anyone roll it down more then a few inches just because i am worried it eventually wont roll up anymore which previously happened to my window on the drivers side and they had to replace the motor but that time it just stopped working fully. Here like i said itll go down then inch up time to time as i'm driving , not always as i push the button. Not sure what could be the cause : the motor, the battery, wiring, etc... Any ideas?
My car is a 97 Camaro RS (30th anniversary) .

 

It's your wiring and motor. These cars have a passenger side wiring deficiency, which overheats the motor and makes it shut off. Then it will work again and shut off. There is an electrical "fix": Autotrix Window Fix, but acting as your motor does, it might be beyond help, short of replacing it.

I have a 94 with the LS1 motor that was just doing that, I replaced my alternator and now the window works fine.
