Default New Upholstery & Carpet!

I just got the car back from the interior shop yesterday! Looks pretty nice. Front seats and carpet redone for $800. I had the carpet color changed to black and I believe it sets the tan off much better than the original matching color.

I will likely get the rear seats done in the near future, as well as the carpet inserts in the doors. I'm hoping within the next 6 months, but I have other stuff I want to do first.

looks like a very good job and for that cost a very good price. i would have went with a darker color for ease of cleaning.

I was pretty happy with the results, especially since the price was so darn good. The closest price I was quoted to this was double...just for the seats! If the rears were in bad shape, I would have gotten them done as well. They'll wait a bit, however, since they're in good shape.

Next? I'm thinking tires and rear springs. I still have the 1.5" drop on the front, so I think I will go for the BMR 1.2" drop rear set and some bump stops. I'll likely just buy them and start saving for the tires. 315's aren't cheap and it's what I want-although I'd be fairly satisfied with 275's on the back, too.

Thanks for the comps.

Looks sweet! I'm redoing my interior as well. I have a 94 with black leather seats. Trying to decide if I should go with the original beige floor and t roof carpet or black on the floor and graphite on the ceiling. Any other colors that may look nice with black seats? Suggestions are welcome!

I went with the OEM look for the carpet and headliner. Looks the best imo. Maybe because I'm already used to it,lol

Very very nice, was that done by your local shop?

Sorry for the long delay in response, Edward. Yes, it was done by a local shop here in Los Angeles. The guy is in Canoga Park. The only issue I've had is that the top seat covers keep coming unclasped. I called him and he said to just stop by and he'll reinforce them. I'm dealing with a slight transmission issue at the moment, so it's taking priority.

Cool, but I would do the two-tone on the rear seats to match the front -- looks a bit of a mishmash...

Agreed, but the rear seats are currently in good condition with no need to address them immediately.

Currently, I'm deliberating on keeping the car or trading it for another vehicle. Most of my considerations are more family oriented, as I still have the Solstice GXP in the garage. Cars I'm considering are the Buick Regal GS, late model Mercedes C series sedans, the Fiat Abarth, and a late model BMW 3 Series. I want the Abarth or the GS the most, but the Abarth is the least family friendly and the GS is the most expensive. The 3 Series just automatically turns you into a ******, so I have my reservations. Wife wants a freaking VW Tiguan.
