Default interior rear deck lid plastic removal

Newbie here.
How do I remove the rear deck /truck /hatch interior plastic trim surrounding the rear window? I want to paint the plastic. Thanks in advance.

Its just held in by push pins. You've gotta give the plasic a good tug.

I remember mine having a couple plastic trim buttons closer to the back edge. Pop those out with a tiny screwdriver or a knife, and you'll see a screw inside there. Remove the screws, then the upper portion is held on with tabs that fit into a slot in the hatch. Slide the panel either up or down to release it, can't remember which.
