Default Interior Code for 2000 SS Camaro

I bough this Camaro Last September. 2000 SS Camaro 47,000 miles on it. According to the codes from what I can see it is supposed to be Ebony and on forms this is referred to as black. The car up on my rack is really clean underneath. Everything seems to be bone stock. The only issue is the divers side bolster as you can see the seat is worn. I bought I new cover from Richmond Upholstery. I sent them the 2 below pictures and they sent me a black seat that does not match. My question to anyone out there is this the correct color on my interior per my code?

Looking at what I could find on line there was only 2 leather colors in 2000 Ebony and Neutral the Med Gray was cloth only. With that being said the picture of my cars seat below would be considered Ebony correct?

According to the 2000 Chevrolet Order Guide, the only interior codes available for leather seats in a Camaro SS were 192 (Ebony) and 522 (Neutral). The picture of the fabric samples appears a little darker in person. Most likely because of the light from the scanner.

Thank you. That confirms what I thought. I bought some aftermarket covers and they are black and do not match so sending them back.

The picture below is from 2001 The Detroit Book Upholstery Catalog. The same interior codes were used from 2000 -2002, so this should be the same as what was used in 2000. This page gives the fabric color order numbers of the different grains.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. Are you referring to the samples in the Chevrolet Order Guide picture or the Detroit Book Upholstery picture? I own a 2000 Camaro SS convertible with an Ebony leather interior and depending on the amount of light when the picture was taken, the color looks more black in a lower light and more gray in a brighter light. The pictures below are the same Ebony seats from a 2000 Camaro SS taken in different lighting to illustrate. You'll notice the seats farther from the camera seem to be in the shade and look darker.

For comparison, this picture is from a 1999 Camaro SS with an interior code of 142 (Dark Gray). It's noticeably a lighter gray and was not available in 2000. If the material of the seats in your car are like this, chances are they are not original to car.

Mine are darker than your 99 looking at the pictures. Thank you for your help.

I tried buying a replacement seat for the drivers side and was not even close on color it was black. Sending it back. I just found a set of seats out of a 2002 with 90,000 mile on the car that matches my interior in good condition. The 2000 SS I bought last year only had 46,000 miles when I bought it and everything is good accept the bolster on the drivers side has a tear otherwise the interior loos like new.
