can i swap speakers around?
First of all the rear seat speakers are subwoofers and would not sound right up front. Second, the rear speaker is an speaker/amplifier combo for the subwoofers also. It might be difficult to extract just the speaker and leave the subwoofer amps intact.
The rear speakers by the rear seats are not subs. They are the same as the front door speakers. The rear speaker(s) in the hatch, however, is a sub. All the speakers in a stock F-body are a speaker/amp combo.

the grilles have "bose" labels but the speakers themselves have no identifying marks. i put a factory cassette deck in myself and repaired a hack job to the harness done by the previous owner. if i replace the front ones with off the shelf aftermarkets, is there a certain kind i should get?
did you use a oem bose stereo, if so you will need speakers that will work with the amps in the bose system. heres what i kept finding.
The factory system uses amplified speakers that only work with the Bose® radio. If you replace one of the factory speakers, you'll have to replace the entire system
