As some of you might know I'm new to this forum. I just purchased a 1997 Z28 and the interior needs work. I have to replace the carpet, headliner, dash pad, etc... So I figured while I'm at it, why not get it all re-done? I'm painting the car a REALLY dark gunmetal. It almost like a mirrored black. It's also getting the ZRoc hood (stinger style) and a body kit. So... I want tips on the interior. I was thinking about doing all black carpet with black headliner. Maybe black leather seats with red stitching and touches of red here and there. So if you have any ideas or pics... Please post them!

 

You can get the carpet and headliner from yearone.com, I got my leather seat cover replacements from leatherseats.com, they are good people and their stuff is nice. Got some pics on my cardomain site if you wanna look. And they are easy to do replace yourself.

I personally would go with grey/silver stitching. Although you cant go wrong with red, but red stuff and sports cars is sooooooo cliche! Maybe have the middle of the seats silver too! With the color of your car I think it will go well. Or you can do blue....like the Electron Blue (corvette color) which is a nice kinda deep metalic blue color. Stitching and Inserts that color would be tight!! But it's really up to you.

 

I'm doin black and silver too zoilus...probably won't look as nice as yours with the SS hood but your car is my eventual goal haha.

 

Black and silver does sound good. I actually drew up the way the car is going to look. If anyof you guys need parts let me know. I can't go too nuts but I can maybe help a little. I get them at cost from chevy.

 

Use high power LED lights for floor light and dashboard light and use neon tube also for interior body light on the hood.
