Okay,
Dummy me, bought a cheap well used '95. Clean body good running 3.4liter 234000 miles. Needs shocks, struts, brakes both power window motors and a headliner. Took it out for a drive on a snowy day and caught an island at the local Wal-Mart. Blew both air bags without any body damage at all. Trying to decide if I want to go to the expense of new airbags or just replace steering wheel with aftermarket and fill hole in passenger side dash. I'm not worried about not having airbags. This is probably only the third car I've ever had with them. So my question for those of you who know is how much is involved with replacing airbags and or is there a way to replace the passenger side dash without buying an airbag?
My plan for this right now is to put in a mild 350 and run the wheels off it so why do the airbags if its just gonna be a toy to beat on.

I'd try and find some at a wrecking yard. You might not pass inspection without them. And learn to drive better, who hits an island at Walmart?
