4th gen Gentex Rear View Mirror

Has anyone tried putting a Gentex rear view mirror in their Camaro? Those are the ones with the auto dimming mirror and you can get the compass, and temperature.

Yeah, the night I started this thread I checked them out on ebay and they were cheaper. It would be a nice feature, but I too have given up on it. I was mainly thinking of getting it until I can get my windows tinted.

Have you checked the price of these mirrors (range of $200+) and they need to be hardwired in. My opinion, after pricing and the work involved I gave up on that idea.

also, as far as pricing goes, go price out a factory mirror and you will see these aren't bad at all

And for the price of a factory mirror don't go to the Dealer.

I feel running a hard wire from the fuse box and removing the trim for a clean looking job requires to much effort for a next to nothing improvement. Also unless you installed one don't say how easy it is.

I have probably wired more complete cars than most people have even owned, so I think I might know if hooking up a simple littlemirror is hard or not
