just currious but if the Z06 and the Z28 both have the LT1 engine than how does the vette have 500 HP and the camaro only have 325 HP

 

What year Z06? The 2002 had a LS6 with 405 HP. Do you mean the ZR1?

 

i was watching how they make the Z06 on speed and they said they were putting the LT1 in it with 500 HP although they could have been wrong ive seen ppl give the wrong info on tv b4

 

Gorn's right, the C5 Z06 first had 385 hp, then had a 405-hp LS6. The C6 Z06 has a 7.0L 505-hp LS7.

 

lol just watched the show again (DVR) and they deff said LS7 i must have been too sleepy to hear it good

 

Not to change the subject but back in the late 80's I got to ride in one of the ZR1 prototypes. Man what a blast. It was close to 500 HP. This prototype had a 3 inch wide belt for the 4 overhead cams. Car sounded like it had a massive blower. The final product was a bit watered down compaired to the prototype.

I haven't gotten any sweet rides like that since working at GM yet, other than driving a new Corvette Grand Sport 'vert. Sounds like it was a blast.

 

It was pure luck on my part It happened to be at the GM's Pittsburg tech center while I was there for training.
