Ok, I was cleaning the interior of my car today and noticed a small toggle switch on the drivers side of my console, down near the bottom towards the firewall. Does anyone know what this switch does, or if it is just something that someone has added on to mine. Any help would be appreciated. Thks

well its not factory if thats what youre thinkin. It might control some kind of lighting system or something. Best thing to do is follow the wires.

 

Alright, thks. I know that it does have Traction control, and that wire runs out through the bottom of the car, back to the rear end, so I was wondering if it was possible that somebody has made a way to turn the traction control on and off through that switch. I was also gonna ask you guys if there is a factory button hidden somewhere to turn the Traction Control off?

 

the traction control switch is above the radio right next to the fog light switch. Thats where mine is at least. i have an 02

it might be a security switch. in mine i have a "valet mode toggle" in which the car willnot turn onafter a few miles when activated.

 

the traction control on my friends 96 was inside his console below ur right elbow but he has an auto it is like red or yellow
