A buddy of mine has a Z28 with no ttops and a 6-spd. It's a pretty rare combo, from what I've heard.

 

i prefer t-tops myself. its nice takin them off and goin down the highway.

I agree, but i'm glad my car is a coupe and not a convertible, the only cool convertible cars to me are corvettes, ferrari's, and the new lamborghini converts!!!

 

T-tops rock. It's a more carefree feeling when I'm driving down the country roads on those beautiful spring afternoons with the tops out. Theres just nothing like it. Praise the Lord, Amen.

 

You could get the Z-28 (and even the SS by special order) without T-tops. People who intended to seriously drag race often ordered them that way: the car was only about 12 lbs lighter without the T-tops but it was stronger with a solid steel roof. Camaros without aftermarket subframe reinforcement often twist the T-tops out of the frames or break them on hard acceleration they flex so much up there without the sub-frames.

 

My buddies got a 400+HP 14:1 327 in his 79 berlinette. First time he ripped the throttle open it tweaked the body between the T-tops, but, holy sht it was fast.

 

I just bought my 01 SS (procharger, etc, etc) w/o tops, and it is a 6 speed, so that is rare huh?

 

i got an iroc camaro, it is a t-top.
the thing about the iroc camaro is that it can smoke ANY cop car. its so sweet.

 

umm i dont think an 86 IROC can smoke ANY cop car, since there are cop Mustangs, LS1 Camaros and Vettes out there that would lay a whoopin on your TPI 305
