Is this a Z28?
I can't tell if this is a z28 or not. It doesn't say z28 on the side of the car or on the back like i've seen on other ones, but at the end of his description he writes z28 so idk but if it is a z i would definetly strongly consider buying it. if someone could identify it one way or another that would be great. thanks

RE: Is this a Z28?
only difference between SS and a Z28 is the hood, spoiler, and suspension. The hood with the the ram air will get you like 5 horse power at 100 mph. Not even enough to notice so the horse power is the same between them. All just a marketing gimmick. But id rather have an SS b/c they look better and i could say i have an SS.

that is def. a Z28 u can tell by the exhaust and the gauges. My 2000 V6 camaro gauge stops @ 125 and that gauge clearly goes over that. I have noticed that Z28 gauges exceed 125, I think they go to 155mph

It looks like a Z, you can see the red chevy badge on the right back corner of the car, there should be a Z28 badge right next to it, you just can't see it 'cause it's black. The exhaust could have been redone, but unlikely with those tips. JaySan, the Z28/SS came with the 150 mph speedo only if they were ordered with Z rated tires from the factory. If they did not have the Z rated tires they came with a 120 mph speedo and were speed governed to 108.
The SS for the LT1 generation actually had more HP than the Z28 because the intake on a Z28 is so retarded a monkey could have designed a more free flowing intake, so the ram air is much less restrictive, especially at high rpms. If you get an aftermarket cold air intake, it'll be the same as the SS(unless you're driving at 100 mph where it gets you a fraction of a HP)
