Ok, new question. How do I make sure the arm is seated properly? I have them both on and they wipe, but I don't know if I have them all the way seated onto the splines. I put the nut on and tightened them down until it wouldn't go but it still seems there is a gap or they aren't far enough down onto the splines. Any help?

And I'm a tard and can't figure out how to get the freaking blades back on correctly...geez

yep there is a gap, oh without measuring, about 1/2 inch from base of wiper arm and the base where the shaft goes in.

Ok. I was able to get the passenger side arm all the way in but the driver side is tough since the hood is in the way. No matter what I've done I can't get it seated. I'll just have to rough it in there I guess.

The splines were all rusted and messed up on both the studs and the arms. So I just took a small pick like thing and cleared the splined grooves on the studs...the arms are pretty well stripped and messed up. I got them to fit, but I'm sure I'll need to replace those arms or studs eventually.
