Default Window ???

I have a 94 camaro 6cylinder with power windows. My window goes down good but when I try to put it up it will only go up a little bit at a time or not at all. Is the problem in the motor or something else ??? I bought a window motor off ebay but I want to make sure it's not something else befor I put the motor in.

my window goes all the way down, and half way up as well.. i'm glad its the window motor and not anything worse. my mom used to have a 96 z28 and she had the same issue.. and she just told me that it took her $400 to get it fixed at the dealership.. thank goodness for the forums huh??

can anybody tell me how to disassemble the door pannel without screwing up my car...? haha and also is it difficult to just replace the motor?

it is a very common problem cuz the windows weigh a ton on our cars. when i had my 84 i had to change the motors like every 2 years due to burnin them out. sometime if u put them up and they stop just wait a lil bit for them to cool down and it should go up more.

I've found that when you change out the motor, if you use a bolt that's as big as the hole in the motor instead of the little diameter bolts they come with, the motors last a while longer. I usually have to drill out the hole in the motor just a bit to remove material on one side to get my bolts though it, but my motors have been lasting a longer. Like a few years instead of a year. And I use my windows alot.

It doesn't help that these motors were designed for the old Astros which weigh about a third of ours.

Have u checked out the link I sent u mamoth?
