Default will this motor swap work?

I have a 94 camaro with the 3.4 in it and the car is absolutely mint, you wont find one in better shape, but i blew the engine last summer. I have the chance to buy a 97 firebird that has some damage with a 3.8 3800 in it. I was wondering if i pulled the motor and tranny if it would fit in my 94? anyone know?

Are we talking auto or manual? either way I'm pretty sure they will bolt up.

Structurally, that engine will fit fine....there is maybe one bolt hole different between the 3.4 and 3.8L to that tranny bellhousing, but no biggie.

If you've never thought out what it would be like to convert to OBD2 to run an engine (another v6 at that), then stop now.

It's not a quickie swap by any means.

as long as you use EVERYTHING from the 3800 car it will be a simple swap . personally i would drop the sub frame and swap complete sub frames ,engine, tranny, engine harness's, computer , exhaust , all in one big sweep. another thing is the 98 up cars have dual piston aluminum calipers with larger rotors than the 3.4L cars...you could upgrade the front brake system while your at it.

93-97 cars are the same...98-02 cars are the same

I wouldn't think the trans would work tho? 60* v 90* engines...bellhousings are the same?
