A buddy is parting out his 83 Z', and he has a posi diff. for $150. will the differential fit into the carrier housing? i would love to get a posi in my car and this would be cheap. i don't care if the traction control wouldn't work as i always switch it off anyways.

 

83 has a shorter housing by about 2 inches. from what ive read its a pretty close swap except that and the panhard bar is a different length so you would need a adjustable one.
