Wheelwell Whining
On my 2000 Camaro there is an intermitent whining noise that comes from the passenger front wheel well. I'm not quite sure, but I think it only happens when I am accelerating. It does however happen around turns and on straight aways. The tire where the whining noise comes from is unevenly wearing on the outer edge. I just had it aligned a few months ago though. Could this be the cause of the noise? Anyway is there a way to stop this uneven wear? In addition to this (just figured I'd toss it in) my brakes make a real nasty squeak when certain amounts of pressure is applied to the brake pedal. I just had my rotors turned and put on ceramic pads in the front and organic in the rear. Any ideas on what is causing that as well?

Are you sure you don't have a neighbors cat wedged up in the wheelwell? That would make an awful noise. A noisy power steering pump makes a whining-sawing noise and could sound like it's coming from the wheelwell too. For the brakes, why didn't you use ceramic pads all around? I don't like organic cuz they can squeak and they leave more of a mess on the wheels.
Didn't have the money to put ceramic on the rear at the time. Next time though it will be ceramic all around. I have noticed that the organic makes more brake dust. I hope the whining isn't the wheel bearing though, and that its just something with the caliper that needs adjusted.
